I lived in the countryside for many years and while we were building our house we lived in a beat up old trailer to save money. Needless to say many of my waking hours were spent outdoors and helping with the house. Across the road was a beef farm and I was always drawn to this one lone tree in the middle of the field. I always wonder why it survived the clear cutting to create this field decades ago.
I see it through all the seasons, and it has survived nasty winds, ice and drought and it still persists. The cows like the shade in the summer and just seem to migrate towards it. At the end of each day I would watch the sun go down behind this tree. My favourite time is the summer sunsets. I tried to capture that here in my pen and watercolor painting. I hope you enjoy my little painting.
I have created this artwork, using a “dip pen” and permanent ink, and then a wash with watercolor paint, using XL CANSON 140lb watercolor paper. It will be mounted behind an 8 x 10 inch white acid free mat border using removable acid free photo tape and a backing board ready to frame in a standard sized frame.
I have signed the painting, and the price includes free traceable shipping within United State and Canada. Overseas customers please contact me first.
