I have added a few more pen and wash paintings onto my site. I have tried to update and edit the photos to reflect the happy colours.
Here is my latest painting:
Just click on the "storefront" at the top of the page and see some of my other additions. As you can tell, I do enjoy the rural settings. These are sold mounted behind a matt and backing board ready for your choice of frame.
Take care and enjoy!
After a fairly light winter in terms of snow and storms (for Ontario anyways!) we are paying that back with a very late spring!
By now leaves should be on the trees, but instead we had a freezing rain warning this morning. Luckily I didn't have to go out in it, but it makes for a dreary day as well as poor lighting for my art.
I much prefer natural light for my artwork and at this time of day my studio area should be flooded with light. The day is still young, so hopefully by this afternoon I can concentrate on my art projects. Just wanted to say "hello" and hope you are getting creative where ever you live!
I will be adding some more "pen and wash" to my store. Need some better lighting for taking pictures as well.
I have been slowly creating my artistic studio corner in our house. We downsized recently which meant I lost my larger studio. But that forced me to have a good clean out!
I kept everything that was most important to me and got rid of old supplies and dried out materials, and by creating bins of "like" supplies, I have found it much easier to find the things I need.
This proves you don't have to have a huge studio, just an organized one!
I have been recently working with a dip pen and permanent ink and then using a colour wash. I am enjoying this process, and you can see by this picture just how I go about it and check out the new drawing table my hubby got for my birthday.
I get just the right amount of defused natural daylight. You can see I still have a few things to sort out, but I have those shelves with everything I need. I am loving the table, and I purchased myself a good quality ergonomic higher chair so that I am not hunched over.
I have just started using the dip pen and am really enjoying it with the water colour wash, also known as pen and wash.
I used to sell my creations in arts and crafts shows, but decided it was time to venture online. I have been drawing and painting for decades, and I hope you enjoy my creations! Thanks for stopping by.
Will keep you posted, bye for now!
