After a bit of insomnia, I tried counting sheep and it worked like a charm.. This gave me the idea to create a ink and watercolor of 10 sheep trying to jump over the fence, only to land in a pile on the other side.
Each sheep is wearing a yellow and orange scarf with their number.
This is an original 8.5 x 11 inches that will be matted to 11x14 inches with a white acid free mat with a backing board.
(This painting is presently in my farm yard scenes, until it is sold, just click on the picture to see more... ENJOY)
This way it is ready for a standard sized 11x14 inch frame. Just click on any of the images to be taken to my ETSY shop and you can see more pictures, the price and a detailed description.
Shipping is FREE in Canada and the USA with a tracking number via Canada Post.
Have a wonderful day!
I have been going through my photo album of pictures I took on our amazing trip to Scotland a few years back.
I loved the history and the ages of all the buildings. My hubby is from Scotland, so he acted as tour guide to the family, and showed us this awesome mill called Preston Mill, in East Linton, Scotland.
This mill was still in use until 1959 and is centuries old, and has actually been used for scenery in the Neflix show "Outlander". I painted this from my own photograph. It is painted on 8.5 x 11 inches 140lb Canson Watercolor paper, and will be matted to 11x14 inches using removable artist tape with a backing board. This way it is ready for an 11x14 inch standard frame.
I have also added this fun little piece of art of a abstract cat looking out a colorful window. This is a 5x7 original watercolor that has a 5x7 acid free white mat attached. This is then attached to a Strathmore blank watercolor card so that you can give this as a card with your sentiments inside and then it can be framed in a standard 5x7 inch frame. Comes with matching envelope.
Two gifts in one! Perfect for the cat lover or the hard to buy for on your list.
I have added another section to my renovated site!
My 5x7 watercolor cards are all original pieces of art. Each one has been done with ink and watercolors on Canson watercolor paper and then matted behind an acid free 5x7 white mat.
The matted artwork has then been attached to a blank Strathmore Watercolor card of the same size ready for your sentiments inside.
This can be sent as a greeting card but can then be framed in a standard 5x7 inch frame to hang as wall art. No need to detach the card, the entire card will fit in the frame.
This makes a great gift option for the "hard to buy" on your list. Check them out, because many are my unique folk art style but many also have inspirational words added to them to bring a smile to you or your loved one's face. I am always adding more.
Give the gift of art, that sends and reads like a card.
I have added another original watercolor to my farm landscapes section. I live in a small town and am surrounded by countryside.
I draw my inspiration from all the farms, fields and nature around me.
This painting has been done on 140lb Canson watercolor paper, with ink, dip pen and colorful watercolors. The actual painting measures 8.5 x 11 inches and will be matted to 11x14 using an acid free mat. This makes the painting ready for a standard 11x14 inch frame.
I have added another painting this morning of an old country church.
This is an original and it measures 8.5 x 11 inches but will be matted to 11x14 inches to fit a standard frame using acid free white mat with backing board.
I added another new ink and watercolor to my site. I love to paint cute sheep or cute farm animals! This is a fun piece with all the sheep gathered together as they often do at night. Safety in numbers!
It measures 8.5 x 11 inches but will be matted with an acid free white mat to a measurement of 11 x 14 inches to fit a standard frame. As will all my art, shipping is FREE and is sent by Canada Post with a tracking number.
I have been doing well with sales of my artwork, but have had a few customers tell me they preferred the ETSY platform when it came to the final purchase.
It seems most people feel more confident there at checkout. I have a presence there with my artwork and my pet sympathy cards.
I have revamped my website so that when you click on an image of my art here, you will be transferred to my ETSY shop for more details.
I hope you enjoy my new and improved website! Stay tuned as I add more art pieces to my gallery.
